Exciting news from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET)! It is now the official education partner for Equal Measures, an organization doing brilliant work to champion diversity and inclusion in the hospitality industry.
As part of this partnership, WSET is offering support to up to 20 individuals from minority backgrounds working full-time in the UK’s cocktail and spirits sector. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to gain access to WSET qualifications this academic year.
But that’s not all — each participant will be paired with a leading industry mentor who will provide guidance and support for at least six months, helping to develop their career further.
The qualifications on offer include WSET’s Level 2 and 3 Awards in Spirits, delivered by the fantastic team at The Mixing Class, the world’s leading independent provider of WSET Spirits education. I did my level 1 Award in spirits about 5 years ago and can highly recommend the classes (bragging here - I achieved 100% in the exam)
